Hi, we have to spent some hours in the trainstation in Zagreb at 1 o clock in the night. Is it possible to wait in the trainstation at night and is it safe. If now what is the best place to wait some hours till the next train to Split comes.

What is your planned route - why do you have/want to stay overnight at Zagreb main station?

Hi Flo, sorry it was a misunderstanding. We arrive not so late. In the evening yes, but not so late. We have to find a nice place for some hours cause the train to Split goes in the night. Do you know a nice café or something else where we can go in the evening from 8. Not far from the train station? Thanks.

The station as such is open 24 hrs, but that does not mean all shops/facilities are open all the time.
Safe is mostly a very cultural thing and what seems very safe for 1 is not for 2. It will also depend on your expereince and age.
In case you are not married to that trainpass: there are MANY more direct-faster too- BUSes to Split from the autobusni kolodvor=busstation, which is some distacne away, can reach by urban tram.
