Hi,
too bad that they can only make reservations for the sleeping car - it would be interesting to know whether they cant do it technically or because they dont know how to do it... :|
Anyway, I have some questions:
- you have 5in10 InterRail passes right (did you purchase them here at our partner to support this answer?) ;)
- how do you get to Zürich - with your InterRail ticket, with regular ticket or by other transport than train?
- how long do you want to stay in Zürich? just for changing trains or do you also want to visit the city?

EDIT: just split the topic from the night train Zurich-Barcelona. Peter

I`ve not bought my interrail ticket yet , but if prize will be same as in station, i can buy it here....if it will be helpfull...
Zurich is only changing station....we want to travel from bratislava directly to barcelona , but it looks like we have to change barcelona for some closer city and if we will travel to zurich this way , it will be by train from wien westbahnhof

OK.
- If you purchase the pass at https://rail.cc/en/search-train-route price is the same as at a station with standard (7 working days) delivery. And you support the work here :)
- So you will use the InterRail ticket for the whole way from Slovakian border until Barcelona right? I'm just figuring out a route which will be cheaper than via Zürich with using the same amout of travel days (2). Please be patient a little while. ;)

remember that you have also other option to get to Barcelona
you can go from (dep: 15:00) Zurich to Paris Est (arr: 19:34) in TGV (supplement about 8 euro)
there change train and go by night train(dep: 21:49) to Cerbere(arr: 8:14) (supplement from couple of euro for comfortable reclining seat)
https://rail.cc/en/night-train/paris-portbou-icn-3731/78 (timing is a little bit different. above should be correct)
and then free of charge regional train to Barcelona
it's more complicated but almost 10 times cheaper and moreover you can use the yellow scenic train!
https://rail.cc/en/train/latour-de-carol-to-barcelona
or
if you do not have to go via Zurich you can do like this:
-from Vienna West (dep: 8:36) to (arr: 15:36) Frankfurt (for free)
-then (dep: 16:57) Frankfurt - Paris Est (arr: 20:53) (TGV, 10 euro)
and, like in the previous version, night train(dep: 21:49) to Cerbere, from Paris Austerlitz
there is less than one hour for change the train and the stations are not near but, if you do not have problems with walking, you could even change station on foot in one hour. also you can take the metro.

Yup I was thinking about a similar route however then you do not have to go via Zürich. It would be nice to use the Strasbourg - Portbou night train but it is not yet included in the schedules so you cannot say whether it will be running or not (although it should run daily).

yes, you have right but on SNCF they sell ticket for this train and it does not stop in Mulhouse (probably does not go trough this city). the website propose to take TER to Nancy and then continue, to Cerbere.

The problem is the travel date. It is not shown for 8. August. But it would run through Mulhouse anyway. Dont know why the stop isnt shown.
If you change in Nancy you take another Lunea, originating in Luxembourg.
Anyway, what Skubister can do:
Bratislava Petrzalka 0650 - 0749 Wien Süd (Ostseite)
transfer with tram or metro
Wien West 0836 - 1536 Frankfurt Main
Frankfurt Main 1605 - 1739 Offenburg
Offenburg 1804 - 1834 Strasbourg
Then continue with the Lunea night train to Portbou and finally with regional trains to Barcelona, arrival Barcelona around 1300. No reservations needed, only for the Lunea - seat is ~6€, couchette ~17€
Problem is, as said above that the Lunea is not yet available in the schedules so you cannot make reservations yet - and even have no guarantee that it is running on 8 august.
Other possibility is to continue from Frankfurt to Paris instead of Strasbourg:
Frankfurt 1657 - 2053 Paris Est :arr: TGV Alleo, 10€ reservation
transfer with metro
Paris Austerlitz 2149 Lunea night train either to Portbou and then continue to Barcelona or to Latour de Carol and then to Barcelona or you include the Petit Train Jaune
Paris - Barcelona routes are here :arr: https://rail.cc/en/train/paris-to-barcelona

Ou, thank you very much for your work :)
i`m gonna look at these connections and implement one of them to our plan
and it looks like that it will be more cheapier than go by elosis :)
