AFAIK they have may years ago stopped all stored luggage in IT after some bombs in them.
THus private enterprise has steppen in and some cafe/restr/HTL-holders offer this close by to a stazione.
You will get-if you really want to know this now and not later, by posting on a forum that has local regulars, like tripadvisor or the like
