By train from Malaga to Faro

there isn't an easy way. In fact there isn't any way of going by train other than going the whole length of Spain to the northern border and then coming back the whole length of Portugal. This is a bus journey.

Take treno to Sevilla--or bus if want to avoid change train->autobus stop, take 2/day-maybe more in summer, direct BUS-=pay to Faro.
In the past people used those printed books with timetables-these still exist and then it would be quiye obvious. Also those old-fashioned boox called guiebooks have that info
