Hi everyone! :)

I really need a help organizing my interrail trip. We are a couple traveling just the two of us. Our flight is from Iceland to Berlin on the 26th of July and there we have a hostel booked for 4 nights. Our interrail pass starts on the 30th of July and our plan was to take a train from Berlin to Warsaw on the 30th of July and stay there for 3 nights.

1. So my first problem is that I can't find out which train is the best to travel from Berlin to Warsaw. And should we need to make a reservation?
2. Should we go straight from city to city or what is interesting to see or do somewhere between cities?
3. We also like to see Krakow and Auchwitch, can that fit into our plans?

Than we are leaving Poland and will take train to Praha, should we stop there for only one day because of how expensive it is?

4. How many days do you guys recommened for a stay in Praha?
5. Also do we need to make a reservation for the trains from Praha to Vienna and Vienna to Budapest.

Then after visiting Budapest we want to go somewhere in Croatia and Italy to relax and sunbathing. We have a flight from Milan on the 24th of August and were thinking about staying there for 1 or 2 nights.

6. Where do you recommened to stay in Croatia, what to see and do?
7. And the same question for Italy, where to go and what to see? (We have both been in Venice we are not going there)

So if you have some tips and comments about our trip please share it with me, it would be so nice to have some help planning this tour, it is my first trip traveling with trains (since we do not have them here in Iceland) :D

Also one question about how much people are spending one there Interrail. Is a 1700 euros reasonable budget for 28 days? (staying at hostel mostly but maybe in tents and couchsurfing)

Thank you so much! :)

Hi.

1) There is one connection which requires a reservation: https://rail.cc/en/interrail/berlin-to-warsaw

2) Of course there will be nice small cities as well in between. But if you don't know them exactly, you won't find them the easy way. In my opinion you will be fine as well in bigger cities, as you will have there more hostels to stay.

3) Auschwitz is close to Krakow: https://rail.cc/en/auschwitz-salt-mines/f4925

4) 2 or 3 - but a personal opinion.

5) You can do both routes by free trains.
Praha - Vienna: https://rail.cc/en/interrail/prague-to-vienna
Vienna - Budapest: https://rail.cc/en/interrail/vienna-to-budapest

6) If you only want to stay some days in Croatia, think about the corner of Rijeka - island of Krk.
Then by train for example this route to Italy: https://rail.cc/en/ljubljana-venice-train/f3663

1700 EUR should be fine including the ticket. Just play a little bit here...
