Where does one retrieve an item left on a train when we transferred several times? And I’m not sure which train it was left on?? I left an iPad somewhere between Essen and Amsterdam on 9 June.

And if you simply do not remember anymore where it could have happened, than ask both. There is no garantee whatsoever that all lost items will be found by honest cleaning staff and delivered.
