Hi!!
We are 5 friends from spain and we want to travel with interrail during september, we got 5 days of travel during 10 days global pass.
We arrive by flight to Amsterdam and we'll left in Bologna by flight too.
We'd be very grateful if you could answer some doubts we have:
1/First, we would know if we have to book the tickets after start interrail or it's no problem to get there them.
2/We read we use only one day of travel if you take a night train after 7:00 pm and we arrive after 4:00 am of the other day, but if there's no direct train and we have to change the train, we will be using 2 days of travel?
3/And finally, we wonder what are the trains available to connect the citys we want to visit and if it's better to take a night or a day train
thanks for all!!
(sorry for my english ;P)

Hej!
First to your questions.
1) When you buy the InterRail pass, you will have to select the first day of validity of your pass. Then, it will be valid the following 10 days including 5 days of travel which you can freely choose while you are travelling.
You do not have to specify the 5 travel days when you buy the pass, only the first day of validity.
It should be possible to buy the pass when you arrive in Amsterdam; but if you want to support our work here at the forum and website, please buy your tickets at [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux] - thank you! :)
The price is the same as at a station and delivery to your home is free within 7 business days.
2) That is correct, yes. :arr: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train
3) Have a look at the railcc website; where many city-to-city connections are listed. For example Amsterdam - Berlin :arr: https://rail.cc/en/train/amsterdam-to-berlin
