Hi all
Me and a friend have recently purchased a global pass starting from the 12th July. We are first-timers when it comes to interrailing and are having difficulty in figuring out the best way to see the places on our to-do list :|
We've booked the eurostar from London to Brussels.
From Brussels we plan to do the following route using our interrail pass... Brussels - Amsterdam - Berlin - Krakow - Prague - Bratislava - Rijeka - Venice
We then plan to fly back from Venice to London.
It would be helpful if someone could point us in the right direction of the routes that are recommended/compulsory to reserve as we realise we are travelling at one of the busiest times of the year! We are also open to night trains to save us a bit on accomodation and would love a few scenic train routes if theres any we may come across on our proposed trip :)
We are aware that some train journeys require additional supplements (eg. the Thalys train from Brussels to Amsterdam) but we would prefer to spend our money on places of interest rather than excessive train supplements so we would like to avoid these if at all possible.
Any help would be greatly appreciated :)
Thanks,
Simon

Hi Simon!
May I ask where you did get your InterRail pass from? :)
For reservations/supplements, have a look at the railcc site, where many routes are already available including timings, reservation costs and ways to avoid expensive trains such as Thalys.
Examples:
:arr: https://rail.cc/en/train/brussels-to-amsterdam
:arr: https://rail.cc/en/train/amsterdam-to-berlin

Hi Flow,
We purchased our global passes from InterrailNet. And I have just realised now that railcc also sells these tickets. Even cheaper and with all this wonderful help and service which I don't get at the place where I bought. :os
Thank you for the links.

Hej Simon,
well that's a pity...as we have to rely on the tickets sold via [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux] to run the website and forum and provide all the information you find here - I guess you wont find that much on other sites ... :(
Anyway, maybe you'll do another trip someday and then purchase your pass here - or recommend us to friends. ;)
OK; I hope you found all the information regarding reservations you need in the links and also found the other city-to-city connections. If you need further details on any part of the route, just write here.
