Hi there,

I'm planning a trip around Scandinavia this summer and i'm thinking about staying at the Lofoten for a couple of days. (I'll be coming down from Narvik.) But what botters me is the fact that I'm so far not able to find a cheap accomodation. Is there some sort of youth hostel, or would it be best to take along a tent and go camping (is it warm enough?)

Thank you for your advice!

Hi,

there is a HI Hostel in Stamsund, which is ~20€ per night, quite a good price for Norway. :) (Wild) camping is an option too of course, but as we were at the Lofoten (Svolvaer) last August it was heavily raining so we didnt pitch our tent and instead slept in the waiting room of the ferry port - which is officially closed overnight but apparently Norwegians are nice people and they didnt kick us out. ;)
