Hi, I'm from Mexico and I've been living in Budapest since October. I have 2 residence permits for Hungary, one goes from October 25, 2010 to June 15, 2011 and the second one goes from May 17, 2011 to August 26, 2011. However, when they gave me the second one they put a seal on the previous one (from October to June) that says non valable, meaning that it's invalid. Can I still be considered for the 6 month rule to use interrail, or should I use eurail instead?

Thanks a lot!

Hi.
As you had residency of more than 6 months in Europe, you can buy an Hungarian Interrail Pass, meaning, you country of residence is Hungary.
The stamp on it isn't important - it only avoids that you have two permits at the same time (and possibly forward one to an other person!?).
Have them both with you and you will be fine.
Details here: https://rail.cc/en/how-to-interrail
