Hey!
I'm trying to reserve two tickets on the Night Train between Madrid and Lisbon (Trenhotel).
BUT according to the information (https://rail.cc/en/night-train/madrid-lisbon-th-332/71) the most basic sleeperette supposably costs 7 EURO - however when I try to reserve the tickets this option does not appear, and it asks me to buy 'more luxurious' tickets for 122 EURO.
PLEASE HELP!
Thank you!!!!!

this 7 eur is not for bed, but for sleeperette seat
you did not give a date-maybe the cheap options are full for your date
it is for most RENFE trains in fact impossible to only do an online RES for seat/bed, in addition to held ticket. That is why the 122 eur is likely the full fare with bed incl.

Hej,
I assume you have an InterRail ticket and only need the reservation? Where did you look - at :arr: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation
There you can get reservations for the 2nd class sleeping cars for 35€ (a little bit more expensive than if done at a station but you'd get it sent home).
However there seems to be no sleeperette option (for 7€) available. :| Then you'll have to do it at a station or you could also call RENFE directly (if you are able to pick the reservation up then) :arr: https://rail.cc/en/spain-renfe-online-reservation-how-to/f4995

I too am very confused and struggling to reserve a seat on the Madrid to Lisbon night train. I have an Interrail pass so just need the reservation. Help much appreciated. Followed the railcc link but all I get is no product matches search criteria. I can only afford a seat, not a sleeper coach, so want to book it to make sure they don't all sell out. hoping to travel on Tuesday 8th January. Help!!

Hi,
not all trains can be reserved online. In this case, you could try this option: :arr: https://rail.cc/en/spain-renfe-online-reservation-how-to/f4995

Hi.
Do it like Flow said. The problem might be the annual change in the schedules: [ux]https://rail.cc/en/search-train-route
As for a closer date (for example next week), even beds are available in this night train.
Fill in for example Madrid-Chamartin and Lisboa Oriente:

Hello. Can I reserve a 2 berth compartment with an Interrail pass? It says its 1st class and I think the Interrail pass is only for 2nd class.
Many thanks.

Hej,
for travel in a 2bed compartment (Cama Preferente) or 2bed compartment with ensuite shower+WC (Cama Gran Clase) you need a 1st class InterRail ticket.
If you have a 2nd class IR ticket you can book a bed in a 4bed compartment (Cama Turista, separated male/female compartments).
