I have found a train on route Wien to Prague on B-Rail system. On Comments section, this is written:

sneltrein/train rapide
Through coach, Subject to compulsory reservation, 2nd class only seated accommodation, Global price or ticket plus supplement, Sleeping-car, Couchettes, snacks + beverages avail. from sleep.-car attendant on part of route.

Train's number is D 406. Although I choose without hst/surcharge option, I wonder if this train wants an additional fee; because it says train rapide and I thought that means the train is hst.

What about that?

No reservation needed for a seat if you only go to Praha!

rapide=just fast, an ordinary expresstrain
in FRench High speed= a grande vitesse (hence that magic GV after the T=train)
there are no hi-speed lines at all in Austria nor CZ.

Technically there are in Austria...but anyway, as nltrainer said, train rapide is just the word this schedule planner uses for an ordinary express train. That is the problem with these schedule planners - they are not specifically designed for InterRailers...always ask here if you are not sure!

Wow, thanks. It was a bit confusing but it's clear now.

Great. :)

I'll try to write a dictionary: travel planners - InterRail within the next weeks... ;)
