Firstly, i apologize to the admin if this is in the wrong part of the forum .
I am currently planning my first ever interrail trip. The plan is for me and my girlfriend to travel from the UK (we live in Kent) either Paris or Amsterdam. From there to get an overnight train to Berlin, then to Prague, Vienna and back home. We will be purchasing a 5 out of 10 ticket.
The timings will be a little something like this: (this is just an incredibly rough plan i just threw together for the sake of clarity)
Day 1: UK- Paris/Amsterdam
Day 2: Visit P/A
Day 3: Leave in the evening (for example the 20:20 train from Paris to Berlin)
Day 4: Arrive in Berlin at 9:52
Day 5: Berlin
Day 6: Leave 16:48 to Prague
Day 7: Prague
Day 8: 10:39 to Vienna
Day 9: Vienna
Day 10: Travel back to Paris and back home.
So basically: Paris-Berlin-Prague-Vienna-Paris
What is the cheapest way to get to Paris (or Amsterdam, whichever is cheaper) from England? Going via Euro-star would be best as it is fairly direct however it appears to be very expensive and my budget is very limited.
Any Ideas anyone???
Thanks for any help/advice on the route and my question.
Regards
Tom

1.depends a bit where you live-ask at local SouthEast station about the 33 GBP daytripper to FR-Calais-rail to Dover+ferry incl. NOT available in FR!!-for the return
2.book early for Euro** from Ashford-to whatever you can find for cheap (about 40 GBP/single-but then that is low-off-peak and long advance only). Maybe better to save that for coming back-as you have more advance time.
3.eurolines.com or co.uk bus-some also pick up at Dover ferryport. check sites for deals and prices.
4.EASYjet from Gatwick-may be lower as you now think. but check details-luggage etc.
