Automatic notification if you get a message

Good timed topic! ;)
I am just programming this part here on railcc. Suppose it will be ready to use tomorrow.

I am thinking about the option of getting an email notification:
A) immediately
B) Once per day
C) One per week
D) never

What do you think as user? Other wishes?

Well, I think immediately is the best option... However there should be the possibility to do not receive notifications at al, if that's the user wish.

thx peter, guess your a to d choices are standard nowadays, nothing to add

BUT ^^

the forum needs the same. looks like this is all individually programmend and no standard phpbb-stuff -> but would be awesome to also get (or at least have button notify if .....) notification if someone answers on a thread

by that i mean, not only threads that i opened, but every thread should/could have a button follow or notify -> result is, that you get info if someone answered to this tread

Okay...
Now you can follow threads here in the forum . See the small buttons bellow this post.

You can now [b]SUBSCRIBE[/b] a topic or forum .
And [b]BOOKMARK[/b] a topic.

SUBSCRIBE will send you an email.
BOOKMARK will only notify here in the user administration.

The user-administration will be updated the next days.

Now going on to the the mail and friend notifications here on railcc.

Next step: now you get as well an email if someone [b]sends you a mail[/b] using the internal mail system of railcc.

Or if someone [b]request friendship[/b]

To change the [b]options of the notification system[/b], do it after login.

Hi,

Probably not the best topic to ask this but...

Is it possible to post some information about the countries, recommend some places to visit, hostels, etc. not here in the forum but on the pages related to Countries and Information? If so, how can I do that?

Hi.
Not a wrong place here - maybe I should rename this topic in development and ideas for railcc.

The point you are talking about exists already.
But first thing is: you have to complete your registration. Your account is only open for posting in the forum .

Then you can go to single countries to different categories and you will see the button (in a green field) add data now.
There you can fill in, add photos, texts, etc...
Example Hamburg/Germany - nice places:

It's very helpful for others if you place content to the site - as nobody knows your city or place you live better than you. :)
To be honest: would you find the coolest club or bar in your town if you wouldn't be a local? So travellers need it. :)
