Hi everyone.

I'll ask a question that perhaps has been answered before, however I searched the forum and I got nothing about this...

I'll travel with 2 more friends and we want to book a 6-bed couchette in some night trains. Is this possible? We don't bother that other 3 persons sleep in the other beds. Is that possible?

And what about reservations? Should we book this kind of night trains in advance or can we book when we are at the station? Is there any reservation fee for booking in advance?

Thank you, and sorry if these questions were already answered (I searched the forum but there are SO MANY topics :o )

Greeting to you all!
Nuno - Portugal

yes, it possible to book three places in the same compartment.

for booking in advance there is any additional fee so, in my opinion, do it as fast as possible.

couchette/liegewagen/liggevogn, litera, are always shared-it is in fact impossible to get it for just your group unless you pay for 6 tickets and 6 supplements). SLEEPINGCars are sex-segregated (unless you are a couple and can gain a 2-bed for 2nd cl-very, very rare). The original idea is that you sleep with clothes on in a couchette. Noone cares, however.
you can request the same coupe-it will be a matter of how full if that is available. If it turns out not possible-you will most likely have 2 at least-you can always ask to change places with the one outside-asking is free, but there is no garantee it will happen.
