Hi,

Sounds fantastic.

Really like the idea of Croatia myself but joining the dots is proving to be difficult!

Word of warning on Greece - last I heard all international trains including night trains were cancelled, so you may have to get a bus to Thessaloniki. If anyone has heard an update to say they are running again please do say, as I'd like to know myself...

Cheers,
Chris.

Hi!

Not a tour where InterRail makes sense. Are you German resident?

Regular EuropaSpezial Hamburg - Rijeka should do for the start - then buses for the next ~2 weeks. Zagreb - Sarajevo either by bus or with a regular ticket bought at the station. Same for the onward trip to Beograd.

Attention, no international trains to/from Greece at the moment! :arr: https://rail.cc/en/new-trains-from-thessaloniki-to-skopje-belgrade-and-sofia/f5508

Ancona - Roma with regular ticket - either bought in advance online or directly at the station. Roma - Hamburg again with Europa Spezial.

Hi!

Europa Spezial can be booked up to 92 days in advance usually. Also Roma - Hamburg.

Balkan Flexi Pass is not valid in Croatia! Consider that in your plans... I dont think you can get it at a DB station - either online (at [ux]https://rail.shop/bahn[/ux] ) or directly in one of the participating countries (which will be cheaper I think, dont know why though).

There is a ferry Bar - Bari; but I dont have exact pricing information as of now.

Bus tickets are fairly cheap and can be bought at the drivers or at the big bus terminals.

Bari - Roma depends on train category and time of purchase; calculate with 40-50€ in fast AV Frecciargento; the direct IC can be much cheaper if bought in advance.
