Hi,

At the end of June, we will arrive at Kristinehamn with the Inlandsbanan. We want to continue our trip to Oslo on the 29th of June. We probably have to change trains in Karlstad, and the journey Karlstad-Oslo can be done free of supplements.
At the BB train planner, we only find connections where we have to resevrve a seat for the journey Kristinehamn-Karlstad. I would think this is a more regional train then the one to Oslo, so I hoped to find a connection free of supplements. Can anyone help, or do we just ask this at the Kristinehamn station (we arrive there at the 27th, so 2 days before)?

Thanks,
Leen

Hi Leen,

there is one direct regional train Kristinehamn - Oslo:

Kristinehamn 1515 - 1920 Oslo EDIT: Lillestrom - Oslo also by bus

Other connections by direct IC train:

Kristinehamn 1109 - 1412 Lillestrom
Lillestrom 1421 - 1506 Oslo by bus due to construction works :arr: update - not closed anymore

Kristinehamn 1800 - 2116 Lillestrom
Lillestrom 2122 - 2206 Oslo

The IC trains should be free of reservation (I asked at SJ some time ago and they told me reservation is only required for X2000 but I will ask again just to be sure). :)

Thanks Flo, now I understand why I don't find connections without a bus journey... :) When we are in Kristinehamn, we will check at the station and post here what the best route would be...

Greets,
Leen
