Hello everyone,
I am going to Sofia and Istanbul this summer. I've read on different blogs/sites that there is the Balkan Express that connects the 2 cities. Does anyone happen to know anything about it (timetables, stops etc)? All I know is that it's a night train, but I don't know if it's still running.

After the Covid-19 Pandemic the train umfortunately runs not longer , today ist the shortest way via Kapikule . Currently there are only one connection : 493 from Sofia to Kapikule and from there 12504 to Istambul-Halkali .
