Hi I will start my InterRail trip on saturday. My first global pass is for one moth and after this month i will reach istanbul. No i would like to know if I cn simply buy my pass in istanbul at the service station? Or must i wait for the ticket in istanbul if i buy it from railcc? I need the ticket very fast in Istanbul (cant wait there 5 day in a hostel)

Hi,

as far as I know TCDD does not sell InterRail tickets in Turkey! :|

i remember the same but i am not sure.. you can anyway buy the balkan flexi pass which will do the same within balkans..

cannot be true. ANY country participating in the scheme sells it-though not always at each and every station. I have seen -on ohter relevant fora-many questions of Turkish people asking about how it works etc. outside of their country-so this also assumes they bought it. And I do recall that tcdd.gov.tr has the info.
The one and only international window in the last year burnt out station of Sirkeci has hardly anything to do and takes pride in helping all those stray foreigenrs.

My information as well from Turkish travellers: not available at stations. Some non-railway agencies seems to offer it.
