Hey,

I am an American with Swedish citizenship as well, but I don't think I would be considered a Swedish resident. Would being a Swedish citizen with a swedish make it ok to buy an interail pass even if I have not lived here for 6 months? I sort of messed up by planning very last minute so any help with this questions would be great!

Note: I have been living in Sweden for the past 5 months studying abroad. And my Swedish passport has Los Angeles as my place of birth listed, but nothing about how long I have lived in either country

Hi.
Officially you will have to buy an Eurail pass as did not lived the past six months in Europe.
But if you will travel with your Swedish passport in Europe, every conductor in the trains will ask questions why you have an European passport but travelling on an Eurail ticket.
So the reality and my experience says: travelling with your Swedish passport = InterRail, travelling with your US passport = Eurail.
The place of birth isn't important.
Peter :)
