Hi,

This is a cheeky question but I figured you guys would know best. I've heard that rail travel is cheap in Romania and Bulgaria, and as I'm over 25 now I'm wondering whether it's worth buying a country pass for Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria, or whether it would work out cheaper just to buy individual tickets for these four journeys.

What do you think?

Thanks

Neil

a pass will never be cheaper as the highest priced return. You can also quickly see that the min. for a pass is for 3 days. AND you would need 3 separate 1-country passes-though you could do with les as you could also use Balkan-Flexi. But for just these trips-it is even more cheap if you buy separate untill just over ROm border and then get 50% discount on all INternational fares.
BTW-locals do not think anymore that fares ar so cheap there. Also international pricing is a lot higher as domestic.
