I'm planning to travel from Venice to Ljubljana on approx 22nd June, however, I can only find one direct route that gets me in at 1am and will mean I use two travel days which is not ideal. Are there any other routes available?

OR stay on this nighttrain, (yes, there is just 1 left-it mainly serves Budapest) a little further, say Zagreb, and return-plenty of daytime trains
