Hi all

I'm planing to visit Corsica on my interrail journey. Do anybody now if the Interrail Pass gives permission to travel with the trains on Corsica? I've search the web for these information, but can't find any:(
Do you have some nice travel tips for Corsica?

Kind regards, Rasmus

Hi Rasmus,

the railway company in Corsica is Chemins de fer de la Corse (CFC) for which you get a 50% discount with an InterRail ticket.

Price examples including the 50% discount:

Bastia - Calvi: 8,20€
Bastia - Ajaccio: 10,80€

Connections are not very frequent, some trains may be replaced by buses - take that in mind when preparing your trip!

this means that if you have an IR-global or FR-permanent, it will cost you a lot in lost travel days when you go there.
In summerseason the island, though beautiful, is overrun by french on holiday and quite expensive. Sardegna-just south, offers about the same (nature etc.) and has FS=''free'' on IR trians-and lods of cheap RYanair flights too.
