train travel in TR is very cheap. Most long-dist trains are now quite good-there is just 1 class, but it looks like bisnis or 1st in west-euro trains. The catch is, there are also often long delays and not many trains.
The TCDD also offer a 1-month (30 days-to be exact) network pass for just 150 YTL=about 70€. Anyone can buy it-REServ. must be done, but are free. valid in all trains, EXCEPT the new Hizly=Hispeed trains (now only Ankara-Eskisehir, Ankara-Konya to open in a few weeks). name is TREN TUR KART
For a 30-day pass incl. the YHT=HiSpeed, the price is 300 TL.
For a pass without Hispeed, but with sleeper included (as many as you can manage to reserve) is 500 YTL
