Hey, I'm going to Europe with the 23 day pass in August and I was wondering, is there anywhere I absolutely should go. By this I mostly mean places to stay, campsites and hostels are my target accomodation. Route is fluid at the moment, landing in Berlin and leaning more towards Eastern Europe, but willing to look at any suggestions :D

Hostel Mostel(!) in Veliko Tarnovo was awesome. They took fed us, gave us great advice and took us out for a night on the town. And it was clean, and cheap! Also the Majdas Rooms (I think it's changed it's name now though) in Mostar was excellent, I wish I could have stayed there longer.

Humm...
In Wombats Berlin I had nice evenings with lots of beer mugs plus panoramic view over Berlin...
In Rossio Lisbon everything is perfect I think. Especially when I was there alone Feb 2009 I had a blast, getting involved in a pub crawl that ended early in the morning drinking beers with the receptionists, the organiser of the pub crawl and a guy who had to leave to Argentina a few hours later. Plus me singing karaoke or so... :D Plus you get cooked breakfast.

StayOkay in Den Haag was really nice. It was cheap - the food was really good and it is near the city centre. :)

Sir Toby's in Prague was IMMENSE. No more than about £4 a night, and cheaper than usual booze, fantastic social atmosphere, not bad location...it was epic.
Gustav af Klint in Stockholm (near the old town) was quite...interesting...given that the room they have is 25 bed dorm on a docked ship next to ship nightclubs! as you do...and it proved to be useful to watching the Stockholm Pride Parade (or for me, an annoyance...blocking the route from the subway to the hostel!)
Hostel Stadion in Helsinki was a bit of a novelty in a way, given that it's in the Olympic Stadium they used in 1952. The tower is meant to be quite cheap to go up and gives good views of the city, so I'm told.
I can't remember the name of the hostel, but I stayed in converted university dorms in Vienna, that was a lot of fun! Especially when there's Vienna University students actually still there...!!!
Riga Hostel in...well...Riga, was like a Latvian Sir Toby's albeit not as much space to socialise in, but still, fantastic little place! Although it got a bit creepy when an Indian family on my bus from Vilnius to Riga stayed in the same room then got the same bus to Tallinn...
Again, can't remember the name, but where I stayed in Brussels was quite cool, very social, but not too busy, seeing as it was early January...!!!
