Salzburg to Prague | Night train

Hi all,

Just want some advice as I cant seem to find any definite answers online.

We want to travel from Salzburg to Prague in July. Im thinking of maybe staying in Salzburg for 2 nights then get a night train to prague on the 3rd night. Is this possible, or would the journey be too short to make use of a night train?

Would it be more sensible to just stay 3 nights in salzburg then travel during the day to prague?

Hi!

There is currently no night train Salzburg - Praha due to track works on the Czech line. In fact, there is no direct train at all. You could go in the afternoon, Salzburg dep 1410, Praha arr 2040 change in Linz required

I wouldnt stay 3 nights in Salzburg, not sooo much to do there... ;) Better leave in the afternoon after the 2nd night with the above mentioned connection. :)
