Hi,
Finally, I finished the planning of our interrail trip in June 2011, but there's still one question: Is it possible to get from Venice to Stuttgart in one day? I already looked it up, but I didn't find any assumable solution.
We would have still one day left, maybe it would be the best and cheapest solution to stay one day at Lake Constance?

Regards,
/.

It takes about 10 hours according to deutschbahn - Venice to verona, Verona to Munich, Munich to Stuttgart

I find this is probably the best journey planner, especially for anything involving germany

Hi.

Maybe you searched for a date later than the 12th of June - at this date you have the annually small change of the European train schedules. Use a date of today:
https://rail.cc/en/search-interrail-route

Some examples as in Italy you have to pay attention to the supplements.

1
Venezia Santa Lucia dep: 0741 | Regional train - free of reservation fees
Verona Porta Nuova arr: 0945

Verona Porta Nuova dep: 1059 | EC train - free of reservation fees
München Hbf arr: 1625

München Hbf dep: 1642 | IC train - free of reservation fees
Stuttgart Hbf arr: 1907

2
Venezia Santa Lucia dep: 1334 | EC train - free of reservation fees
München Hbf arr: 2025

München Hbf dep: 2041 | IC train - free of reservation fees
Stuttgart Hbf arr: 2300

3
Venezia Santa Lucia dep: 2251 | CNL night train - using the rule for night trains, it counts as only one travel day: https://rail.cc/en/night-train/venice-munich-cnl40236/36
München Hbf arr: 0630

München Hbf dep: 0641 | IC train - free of reservation fees
Stuttgart Hbf arr: 0907

No, for the direct EC trains Munich - Innsbruck - Bozen - Verona (- Venezia/Milano/Bologna) which are not operated by Trenitalia but by ÖBB/DB/FMN no reservation is required on the whole route. :)

how much of the train fee from Austria to Munich do I have to pay? If it isn't too much we'll take the train over Munich. The problem is, that we are going to leave Venice at the 25th of June and, according to DeutscheBahn, the first train is leaves at 13:34, which is quite late. * Link removed as it timed out. Please post the travel times here directly. Thank you. *

Hi.
You are talking about option 2 ?
Are you from Germany because you are asking about paying the part in Germany?
Normal fare is per person EUR 62, of course there are Spar-Preise available for EUR 39.
But if you want to avoid paying too much in Germany, think about crossing the border in Basel ans use a Baden-Würtemberg-Ticket, especially when travelling in a group.

Yes, I am from Germany, and I'm talking about option 2, because Munich - Stuttgart only costs 19,- regarding the DB Sparpreis offer.
But if there's another extra fee of 39,- from Austria to Munich, it would be better to stay somewhere in Switzerland, and take the IRE from Singen to Stuttgart

Well, if you are from the Stuttgart area, it might make more sense to go via Switzerland.

If you want to go supplement free you have to options but both require a change of trains several times.

1) via Milano - Chiasso - Gotthard - Zürich - Singen :arr: ~15h
2) via Verona - Innsbruck - Feldkirch - Lindau :arr: 12h-14h
