Hey,

I'm planning a 4-week-trip in june at the moment and consider Amsterdam to be our last stop until we travel to Strasbourg to come home to Germany again (only a few kilometers).
My problem: The ICs frpm Amsterdam to Strasbourg go via several German cities. Is that a problem for us as German travellers?

Best regards

Hi.
Yes it is ... as soon as you cross Germany, you will have to pay. Where do you have to go exactly in Germany? As I as well living in the corner close to Strasbourg.
Your option:
Amsterdam-Brussels: IC free of reservations fees
Brussels - Luxembourg - Strasbourg: EC free of reservations fees

Example:

Amsterdam Centraal dep: 0953 | IC
Bruxelles-Midi arr: 1242

Bruxelles-Midi dep: 1309 | EC
Strasbourg arr: 1816

Peter :)

Thanks for the fast response. I'm from a village near Karlsruhe. Your option sounds good, that could work. :)
