Hi there,
I plan to travel this summer, I am still in a very early phase of planning, and I am still figuring out my options and possible route. I have never traveled throughout the Europe before(i was in the usa) but now I have a chance to do that and I want to see some interesting places around western part of our continent. I am gonna travel by myself most likely.
So this is what I planned to do:
Belgrade- Budapest- Vienna- Prague- Frankfurt- Amsterdam- Paris- Geneva- Rome- Venice- Belgrade.
So I have 10 rides within 22 days.
What do you think about this route? Any suggestions?
Thanks! :)

Hi.
Nice trip.
Think about using a night train from France to Italy.

Venice-Belgrade as well by night train: https://rail.cc/en/venice-belgrade-night-train/f3307
And do you have some special interests in Frankfurt?
I would recommend to skip it. Better (also by the train connections) would be Prague - BERLIN - Amsterdam.

Yes, I am gonna definitely think about night trains on these two routes. I will have more questions for you in the following weeks, because you seem like you have a bunch of information :) . I highly appreciate your advices. I chose Frankfurt because it seems like a nice city and right on my way to Amsterdam. But I think I could choose Berlin over it because it seems much better. I will think more about that.
Thanks Peter! :)

I definitely recommend you Berlin as you have much more cheaper hostels and a much better (and bigger and cheaper) nightlife!
As well more cultural things to see if you like it.
Vienna-Prague: pay attention, some trains require a reservation fee: https://rail.cc/en/vienna-prague-train/f5297
Prague-Berlin: https://rail.cc/en/prague-berlin-train/f3360
Berlin-Amsterdam: I recommend the direct night train, as it is a boring route ... or use a day train and have a stop for one night in Cologne - a nice city as well.

Amsterdam-Paris: never use the direct and very expensive THALYS trains! You can do it (will be slower) with trains free of any extra fees:

Paris-Venice: like I said use the night train - if you know your exact travel date I recommend you to buy this reservation already in Berlin main station - should be possible.
