Hello everybody,

my name is Pedja and I am a new proud member of this forum from today :)

Okay, so I definitely want to do this Interrail travel this summer, and I found this 10 days withing 22 days flexi ticket matching my wishes and plans.
I wanna do 10 cities within 22 days and I am wondering how much money I need for this? For sleeping and food? I guess hostels are 15 euros/night average and 15 euros for food per day, so its like roughly around 600 euros for 20 days. I have 700 more to spend, so my budget is 1300+250 for the ticket.

What do you think about my calculation? I just plan to visit museums and photograph around the cities, so no fancy expensive night clubs and that kind of things. I hope 1550 euros for 22 days will be enough, including the ticket.
I recently found out about this forum and its really great, I collected a lot of information, I am would appreciate any help about this because I have never done something like this before. I was in USA last summer(work and travel) and now I want to see the Europe.
By the way, I am from Montenegro :)

Thanks!

Hi.
Your money should definitely be enough. It depends if you prefer dorms or smaller rooms in hostels - check prices here at [ux]https://rail.shop/hostelworld[/ux]
The prices depend of course on the cities and countries, but I would calculate a bit more. Maybe 20-25 EUR per night.
Concerning food: have a small and cheap camping stove with you and buy your food in supermarkets. Will save a lot of money!

Thanks for your answer!
I already used hostelworld while i was booking hostels in the USA and its a great website. I have no problems being in a dormitory rooms with like 6-8 people, so I hope I will be able to find something for 15-20 euros per night.
I am gonna definitely consider this gas stove thing because I want to save as much as I can.

I always compare it like this:

1 camping gas stove is about EUR 20
1 cartridge is EUR 5
1 cheap camping pot is EUR 10

TOTAL: EUR 35

1 time eating at McDonalds menu is per person EUR 6-8
1 time food bought at supermarket (spaghetti, tomatoes, vegetables) is per person EUR 3 - and you aren't hungry again in 2 hours like it is on fast-food.

So you win per main meal EUR 3-4.
In 10 meals you already earned the costs for your camping stove, pot, etc ...

Your calculation sounds really good! :thumbs up:
I would rather definitely prefer to prepare and eat some food from the supermarket than some junk fast food.
