Hi

I'm going on a second interrail (22 days plus some extra) this July and this year i've decided to go to eastern Europe/Balkans.

My travel route so far consists on:

Munich - Budapest - Bucharest - some city/cities in Romania Brasov maybe - Belgrade - Sarajevo - Mostar - Split/Hvar - Dubrovnik - Kotor - Tirana - Ohrid - Sofia - Istanbul.

Will go by plane to first stop and return by plane as well... However I'd like to find a cheap plane to some city which has a train link to Budapest. Cheapest i found was Frankfurt (aproximatelly 30 euros) but it doesn't have direct connection and i would have to waste a day going to Munich and then Budapest. Does anyone know what cities should i look for cheap flights?

Also does anyone know what are the best spots to visit transylvania in Romania? I've read Brasov is very beautiful but i'd rather listen to real experiences from you guys.

Another thing i'd like to ask is what should i see in Albania? I'm thinking of going to Tirana but i don't know if it has much to see or not.

Thanks in advance

Hi Miguel.
I recommend you the airport of Bratislava. From there you are very close to Vienna (1 hour) and Budapest. You have supplement free direct trains Bratislava-Budapest.
Peter :)
