Hello hello dear people,

We have a question... in September/Sep 2014 we're planning to do an Eurotrip by train. We're from different continents (Europe+Australia) so we can't buy the same train passes, which we think is ridicilous but that's not the point..

Does anyone have any experience with travelling together on different train passes? So far I have only heard negative stories!
Is it easy to arrange? Or are the train passes too different? I read somewhere that they aren't valid in the same countries - is this true?

Our plan isn't really set yet but it will be something like this: Amsterdam-Berlin-Prague-Croatia-Vienna-Italy-France-Amsterdam
Thanks!

Hi!

It is true, InterRail passes cover more countries as EuRail passes. However, all countries you are going to visit or pass through are covered by both InterRail and EuRail passes.

Compare the different options of InterRail/Eurail at [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux] :)

When you are travelling, there is no real difference...if a train requires an additional reservation, it is the same for both EuRail and InterRail.
