Hi.
I really want to go to Verona and my idea was getting from Nice to Milano, then take the train to Verona and from there leave to Zagreb. I couldn't find a train so i tried Verona-Venezia and i couldn't find one either. Do you guys know any other way for me to do this? I really don't want to get back to Milan. And Venezia is just an option. If you know any other city that has connection with Verona and Zagreb please tell me.
By the way, do you know the possible charges & supplements that i'll have to pay on the EuroNight train (Milan-Verona) and in other ways of transportation?
Thank you very much,
Sara.

Hi Sara.
I suppose you searched for a connection later than the beginning of June!?
At the beginning of June there is always a small change in the European train schedules (but 99% of the connections will stay the same), therefore connections after this date are often not in the system. You have to wait a little bit until the European railway companies update the systems.

Supplements in Italy: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation/italy/it
Night train Milan - Verona: do it like it is described here for booking (ITALY) a reservation, then you will find the prices for the different categories:
https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation
To cross the border from Italy to Slovenia/Croatia you can do this either by night train: https://rail.cc/en/venice-belgrade-night-train/f3307
Or by day train: https://rail.cc/en/venice-ljubljana-train/f3664
Examples:
Milano-Verona:
Milano Centrale dep: 0825 | by Regional train - free of supplements
Verona Porta Nuova arr: 1020
Milano Centrale dep: 1125 | by Regional train - free of supplements
Verona Porta Nuova arr: 1316 - even continous to Venice
Venezia Santa Lucia arr: 1455
And a lot more using the schedule planer. Select as option regional trains only!
Verona-Venice:
Verona Porta Nuova dep: 0918 | Regional train - free of supplements
Venezia Santa Lucia arr: 1056
Verona-Zagreb:
Verona Porta Nuova dep: 0736 | Regional train - free of supplements
Venezia Mestre arr: 0937
Venezia Mestre dep: 1016 | Regional train - free of supplements
Gorizia Centrale arr: 1243
Cross the border like described in the link above (Italy-Slovenia day travel)
Nova Gorica dep: 1524 | Regional train - free of supplements
Jesenice(SL) arr: 1728
Jesenice(SL) dep: 1737 | EC train - free of supplements
Zagreb Glavni Kolod. arr: 2053
There are faster connections available with more changes. But I think this one is a relaxing one where you have always enough time for changes or get some food.

Maybe this is a stupid question but do we have to make a reservation for the regional trains in italy or we can just hop on?
Thanks =)

Hi.
Regional trains are slower local trains. Often they even don't offer first class seats. You do NOT have to buy a reservation for them (usually you even can't), just go in and sit down.
