I get my global pass 5/10days. And ready for my trip on 12th April!!!!
Would it be better to reserve a seat before boarding :|
Because it seems its a peak period in Easter in Italy and France
Can I make my reservation in the train station over there? Or I should book it online in advance? Which is a safer way?
*I'll only take the day train

Hi.
The Easter weekend will be peak time - so I recommend to buy reservations for the high speed trains which are in Italy and France always compulsory (TGV, Eurostar Italia, ...).
Concerning reservations check this topic:
https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation
I don't know which one is your country of residence, but for example in Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Austria, etc you should be able to buy these reservations at a bigger station (it often depends on the staff). :)
If you want, give me your route and I can give you details. :)

My Plan

Pisa -> Venice in the evening
15.4(Day 2)
Venice -> Milan in the afternoon
Milan -> Alessandria in the evening
OR
Venice -> Alessandria in the evening
16.4(Day 3)
Alessandria -> Nice in the morning / afternoon
17.4(Day 4)
Nice -> Marseille in the midday
Marseille -> Lyon in the evening
18.4(Day 5)

Hi.
In general: there are no special rail pass schedules available - not for Eurail, not for InterRail. I recommend this one:
https://rail.cc/en/search-interrail-route
Always do it this way:
1) Check the schedules: see link above
2) Compare it to the supplements: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation
3) Check the country topics: https://rail.cc/en/countries
In your case:
In general, the IC trains in Italy are free of supplements for rail pass travelers. But a reservation is recommended for EUR 3.
Do it this way explained here. Order online and pick it up at a ticket machine at the stations in Italy:
https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation
Roma Termini dep: 0946 | IC train - free of supplements. Reservation recommended: EUR 3
Pisa Centrale arr: 1257
(earlier Regional train connections available)
Pisa Centrale dep: 1732 | free Regional train
Firenze Rifredi arr: 1826
Firenze Rifredi dep: 1843 | IC train - see above
Venezia Mestre arr: 2116
Skip Milano - most connections stop there, but if you want to travel free of supplements, you will lose a lot of time then.
Venezia Mestre dep: 1515 | Regional train - free of supplements
Milano Lambrate arr: 1826
Milano Lambrate dep: 1838 | Regional train - free of supplements
Alessandria arr: 2006
Alessandria dep: 0930 | Regional train - free of supplements
Genova Piazza Principe arr: 1037
Genova Piazza Principe dep: 1055 | IC train - see above
Ventimiglia arr: 1315
Ventimiglia dep: 1347 | Regional train - free of supplements
Nice Ville arr: 1436
and so on ........

Attention!
In Italy, the schedule planner sometimes show IC trains with a 4 digit train number are in fact ES City or Frecciabianca trains and have compulsory reservation of 10€!

I've another question :'(
I went on the Trenitalia website, and ready for reservation
but they ask for the card number, what's it?
how can I find this 7 digits number?
If we are group of 4, is it just enter the card number once?

Like Flow added, the schedule planer might be confusing sometimes. So pay attention in Italy. xo
The connection I mentioned are all with the normal IC trains. :)
Fill in as number one of the numbers printed on your InterRail pass. It isn't really important... or use 0000000.

Hi!
You can find this number on your InterRail pass. It is in the left bottom and highlighted orange. It is possible that this number has more than 7 digits, is this the case, just enter the first 7. If you dont have your pass yet, I dont know what is best...you probably can just enter 0000000 and get your reservation. When I was in Italy in February I had two reservations; the one for Roma - Palermo IC was without my InterRail pass number, the one for Palermo - Milano E (night train) was with my InterRail pass number.

If I take the IC(InterCity) in Italy, can I just jump on the train without reservation?
Do I just enter 1 card number between 4 of us when booking the train on the trenitalia website?
Thank you very much indeed, you guys are really helpful :D

Yes, you can use IC trains without a reservation. But it is recommend to get a reservation anyway, at least for longer distances, since regular tickets are sold together with a reservation, so it might happen that someone else with a reservation will claim your seat and you'd have to move.
When purchasing online, I'd just enter the number of one ticket, even when making reservations for the whole group.

PS: Thanks! :)
