Hi!

I'm going from Barcelona to Vevey, preferably with an overnight train but daytime is also fine, what route do you recommend, and how much does that one cost?

Hi.

Simply do it this way:
1) Use the schedule planer: https://rail.cc/en/search-interrail-route
2) Compare it to the supplements: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation

Example:
Barcelona Sants dep: 1300 | ALS - Alaris train: EUR 6,50 | https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation/spain/es
Figueres Vilafant arr: 1440

Figueres Vilafant dep: 1502 | TGV train: EUR 6 - https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation/france/fr
Montpellier Saint-Roch arr: 1707

Montpellier Saint-Roch dep: 1726 | TGV Genève - Mediterranean train - EUR 3: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation/france/fr
Geneve arr: 2114

Geneve dep: 2136 | IR train - free of supplements
Vevey arr: 2233

Much more connections (as well cheaper ones - with longer travel times) using the schedule planer:

Thank you very much, I finally found one night train which seems to connect without long waits in between the trains, and I looked at the supplements, but I couldn't find any info about the supplement fees for EuroNight.

Here is the connection itinerary:

Departure: Barcelona Estacion de Franca 19.38 EN 273 EuroNight
Sleeper train, Subject to compulsory reservation, Global price, Bordrestaurant

Arrive Geneve: 04.04.11 05:39

Depart: Geneve 05:56 IR 1415 Interregio

Do you know how much the EuroNight supplement fee cost?

Thanks for your help!

Hi!

This is an Elipsos night train, details can be found here: https://rail.cc/en/barcelona-geneva-bern-zurich-night-train/f1098

IF you want to go with this option (quite expensive), then think about staying a little longer in the train to get more sleep:

BCN 1938 - 0655 Lausanne
Lausanne 0701 - 0721 Vevey

BCN 1938 - 0746 Fribourg
Fribourg 0755 - 0840 Lausanne
Lausanne 0845 - 0858 Vevey

Pay attention that the night train is not running daily, only on Tue, Thu, Sun.
