hi,
I am going on an interrail trip to Portugal in June, and I also want to visit Evora. The website of the Portuguese railways says there are no trains running from Lisboa to Evora. What is the best way to get there?
Thanks

Hi.
Since 5th January 2011 there are rail track works and modernization work at the station in Évora.
The station is closed until a date which I don't know.
Usually you have several connections per day, for example:
Lisbon Oriente dep: 0810 | IC 690
Évora arr: 1008
Évora dep: 1838 | IC 698
Lisbon Oriente arr: 2036
For now you will have to take a bus. I am not sure if the services are replaced by buses of CP.
Details I found: www.cp.pt/StaticFiles/CP/Imagens/PDF/Passageiros/horarios/regional/lisboa_evora_beja_funcheira.pdf
Other bus services by: www.rede-expressos.pt
Fare about EUR 12 one-way.

Hi,
there are track renewal works along the whole line to Evora/Beja/Funcheira since last May.They are due to last about one year, so if everything goes as planned you will be able to go by train the whole way in June again. :)
However, until then there are bus replacements as Peter said, details are provided in the first link. All those buses can be used with rail tickets (like InterRail).

Acording to REFER ( Rail infrastructure manager) the line should be open at 23 July.
