We want to travel from Bologna to Vienna by night train and are 2 adults and 3 children. Can anyone tell us what sort of ticket we should buy so that at night we can sleep on the train? And if anyone knows how much they cost for a return journey?

You should be able to buy them from Trenitalia, then Italian national railway company.
