Hi there, I was wondering if you could help me with a route. We begin our first interrail journey on the 1st June from Karkow- Prague.
I was wondering if you think this route is feasible and if the 10 days in 22 is advisable?
Krakow- Prague- Vienna- Budapest- Zagreb -Ljubljana- Split- Dubrovnik
(Also would you advise Lake Bled or not)?
I have done some research and was wondering weather you would recommend using buses or trains? As i have heard it is better to travel around Eastern Europe by bus and sometimes cheaper..
Krakow - Prague: Night train €40
Prague - Munich: Night bus €31.50 (morning train 6 hours, €40)
Munich - Vienna: Night bus €44
Vienna - Budapest: Bus €19 (3 hours)
Budapest - Ljubljana: Bus €15-20 (6.5hours, quicker than train)
Ljubljana - Zagreb: train €15 i think (2-3 hours)
Zagreb - Split: fast train (6hours) and night train (8.5 hours) about €20
Split - Dubrovnik: Bus €12 (4-5 hours)
Is it worth buying an interrail pass for the flexibility, or what would you adivse?
Many thanks,
Nicola

Hi Nicola!
I wouldnt want to go by bus unless there is no train connection. It is just a different feeling, I dont like going on the motorway with only concrete and other cars around me. Anyway, you have to decide that on your own. ;)
If you dont want to get with the 10in22, what about using a 5in10 for the first part of your route; you could use it until Ljubljana and continue from there with regular tickets. :)
