Hi,
Some friends and I are planning a route around eastern Europe (because it's cheaper) this summer.
This is our potential route, but we are unsure whether to have a 22day pass or a 10 within 22? Is the 10 within 22 more flexible?
Because we are first-timers, how much would you recommend us saving for this trip? We have air miles to use to fly to Prague and are hoping to get the ferry back to the UK from Amsterdam.
Any places to recommend for nightlife? As we have Lake Bled and Innsbruck on our list for beautiful places to see :)
Many thanks

Hi!

I think you'll be fine with the 10in22.

Potential route could be Praha - Wien - Budapest - Beograd - Montenegro - Croatia (along the coast) - Ljubljana/Lake Bled - Innsbruck - Paris and back with ferry Calais - Dover or Innsbruck - München - Amsterdam and back with ferry Hook van Holland - Harwich

Good night life definitely in the first 4 cities I mentioned ;) Instead of Montenegro - Croatia you could also go through Bulgaria and Romania (beaches at the black sea)

I'd calculate with ~20-30€ per day for accomodation and food/drink/stuff so a total of ~500€ for that should be enough. Ticket (10in22) is 249€ plus a maximum of 50€ for potential reservations (if using the occasional night train).

Is the 10in22 pass more flexible or the 22day continuous?

Thanks for the ideas! We found a good looking music festival in Hungary which we might well end with, but Montenegro and Croatia sound great!

Thanks again :)

Hi !

For nightlife, i recommend you these places :

Prague: Karlovy Lázně : A five floors nightclub ( one music style per floor). Very good ++++
Budapest : The Bath Party at Szechenyi Baths (every saturdays) : One of the best party of my entire life ! ++++++
