Hi, I'm from Brazil but I have Italian passport. I would like to know if i can use Interrail during my trip to Europe, I read on the website that only people who have a residence in a country can´t use the Interrail in this country. Does this happen in my case? I live in Brazil, but I will be like a European with my Italian passport, and I don´t have a residence in Italy. How does it work? Another thing that I would like to know: only Interrail users can take trains to the United Kingdom? Can Eurrail users do it too or not? :?:

Please somebody answer me! :o I really have a lot of doubts and my trip is in a month! :o

Hi.

Eurail AND Interrail travelers can use the Eurostar train from France to the UK. But it is expensive (high supplement). Alternatives are ferry connections (or to use a cheap flight):

The official rule says: the country where you lived in the last 6 months is your country of residence. In your case it is Brazil - so you will have to buy an Eurail pass.
The reality says: if you travel with an Italian passport not showing that you lived the past six months in Brazil as your country of residence, you will have a problem traveling with Eurail - as no train staff will understand the combination Italy passport - Eurail ticket. Then use an InterRail pass with your Italian passport.

If you travel on an Italian InterRail pass, you can not travel for free in Italy: https://rail.cc/en/how-to-interrail
