Hello,

So basically me and my friend want to go interrailing in Sep 2014. With regards to the tickets we want to do either the 10 days in 22 days, the 22 days or the one month one depending on how easy it is to fit in all the places and obviously the cost of hostels, food, entrance fees etc.

The plan is to potentially get the eurostar from England to Brussels and then visit all the places above. We would appreciate some help with the route which is the easiest way to do it? and the best way to fit everything in.
Ideally in Italy we want to visit Rome, the Vatican city and definately Venice. But we're not sure about the best places in Croatia, Germany or Greece. Also is Greece to far today sensibly?
We will probably spend 1-2 days in places depend on how much there is to do.

Any help would be brilliant :)

Thank you

Hi!

There is enough to do to spend one month in the countries you mentioned, but you can also make shorter trips with the 10in22 ticket and 22 days respectively. To start with I give you some suggestions to do:

- Belgium: Gent, Antwerpen, Brugge (Bruxelles is not too interesting IMO)
- France: Stopover in Strasbourg, Mulhouse or Lyon on the way to Switzerland
- Switzerland: Bern, Basel, Zürich; definitely try to take one of the several nice routes through the mountains: :arr: https://rail.cc/en/bernina-express/f1749 https://rail.cc/en/glacier-express/f1750
- Croatia: You can reach beaches in the Split or Rijeka area, as well as around Pula (although a little more difficult to reach)
- Greece: Read here first! :arr: https://rail.cc/en/new-trains-from-thessaloniki-to-skopje-belgrade-and-sofia/f5508 If you want to go there I would only recommend it when going for a month long trip as it is quite far away and complicated to go to from your other destinations.
- Germany: Berlin, München, Frankfurt, Rothenburg/Tauber, Düsseldorf, Hamburg,...
