Hi!
I am a Brazilian and Dutch citizen, and I'm in Italy for one month now. Before that, I was living in Brazil. I am confused of which pass to use. I will travel with my dutch passport so the recommendation by the interrail website was to use the interrail. Since I'm not living in europe for six months, should I get a InterRail or a EuRail pass? And in the case of InterRail, which one should be my country of residence? the Netherlands or Italy?
A friend of mine, who is dutch, also living here for one month, is traveling with me. He should state the Netherlands as his country of residence, right? And will he be asked to prove that?

Hi!
Let's start with the technical rules: You country of residence is where you have been staying the last time for more than six consecutive months. In your case this probably would be Brasil I reckon. This means you would have to use EuRail.
However, if you have a Dutch passport as well and if this passport does not show any signs of you staying somewhere else than the Netherlands (like Visa etc) you might use your Dutch passport to get an InterRail pass with country of residence Netherlands as well. As you have been only staying one month in Italy this plays no role in which pass you can choose.
Your friend will have to get an InterRail pass with country of residence Netherlands, that is correct. I was never asked to prove my residence, it was always enough to show my Austrian passport in case a conductor asked for that.
