dear all,
me and my girlfriend are planning our second interrail trip, route: Zagreb, Split (+islands + trogir), Dubrovnik, Mostar, Sarajevo, Kotor.
my question first question is whether we should just take buses to get from town to town as train system isn't great in these countries.
my second question is whether Mostar is really worth it or should we rather visit another town in Montenegro instead? should we change our route or should?
we are planning to go for 2,5 weeks..
many thanks in advance!

Hi,
I went 2 different times to those countries. I think that you can use the train to get into the coastal region and then take buses to do the rest.
You can do these routes: Zagreb-Split (and from Split you can take a bus to Dubrovnik and then to Kotor) and/or Zagreb-Sarajevo-Mostar (from Mostar you can take a bus to Split or Dubrovnik, or you can stay in the train route and go to ploce and then take a bus).
Relating to the second question, I think that Mostar is really worth it.. Mostar and Kotor (+Perast)! And Split is a good base camp to see the islands, trogir and Krk National Park. You should also try to go to Bisevo Island and see the blue caves.
