Hello, we are three girls planning to go on a 3 week's interrail this summer in july. Nobody of us have been railing before so we could use some advice. We have discussed our route and came up with two alternatives, but we don't know which one would be better.
Route number 1 is:
Flight to Rome – Napoli – Florence – San Marino – Pisa – Venezia – St. Moritz – Zürich – Monaco – Marseille – Toulouse – Barcelona - Madrid (flight home)
The problem with that route is the length of it. We're not sure if it would be possible to do it in 3 weeks, and it would be nice to not sit in a train the whole time.
Route number 2:
Flight to Rome – Napoli – Florence – San Marino – Pisa – St.Moritz – Zürich/Geneve – Strasbourg – Paris – Brussels – Amsterdam (flight home)
Any suggestions, opinions and comments are welcome :)

Second one as well.
But you selected some expensive places.
Think about Eastern Europe: excellent night life, cool and cheap clubs.
Example: Rome - Venice - (Lake Bled - Slovenia) - Budapest - Krakow - Prague - Berlin - Amsterdam.
Okay, you will miss the French coast, Paris, ... simply an example. ;)
