Hi!

I've just read an entry about what to do in Austria and find this Neusiedlersee site. (Sorry if this is not the right place to write about it)

I know the town where this park takes place (Purbach am Neusiedlersee) has a good connection with Vienna. I'll be going to Vienna taking a day train from Milan, so my doubt is if it's possible to stop in Purbach am Neusiedlersee on the way of some of these trains.

Hi!

None of these trains passes the Neusiedlersee. There are hourly direct trains from Vienna taking about 50 minutes to Purbach. If you need a particular connections just tell me when you intend to leave Milano.

Hi Flo :)

I intend to leave Milano with the Milano Centrale 0710 - 1232 Innsbruck Hbf + Innsbruck Hbf 1354 - 1840 Wien West train. What are then the possibilities so as to reach Purbach this afternoon? I'll have to be in Vienna this night -it doesn't matter what time-, so my idea is to spend as much time as I can in Purbach before I have to go to Vienna.

Thank you!

Hi!

Do you remember where I wrote the above mentioned times? I cant remember...anyway the earliest you could be in Purbach is at 1958:

Milano Lambrate 0709 - 1232 Innsbruck
Innsbruck 1306 - 1818 Wien West
Transfer with metro U6, direction Siebenhirten, to Philadelphiabrücke/Meidling
Wien Meidling 1838 - 1928 Wulkaprodersdorf
Wulkaprodersdorf 1932 - 1958 Purbach

Way back (latest connection):

Purbach 2059 - 2209 Wien Süd Ost

I think it makes not much sense to hurry there for only one hour in the evening. Dont you have enough time to make a short trip there the following day and spend the evning in Wien instead? :)

That's a good connection ;) Thank you!

I think just the same you say. However I'm planning this trip on a hurry way, all of it. The first country I'll be is Austria (I'll be going to Vienna from Milano because of the flight is Madrid-Bergamo and directly a train Milano-Viena) so I think it could be nice starting the visit with a place such as the park there in Purbach, as long as it'll be the beginning of the trip I won't be tired yet. There'll be only one day to stay in Vienna so I can't go to Purbach this day before.
