Hello guys, and a special hello to Peter, who helped me a lot on my last interrail!
Its been two years since my last interrail (did a USA coast to coast by car the last year :D ) and I'm planning another one this august-september.
My question is simple: how do i get from istabul to cappadocia, and how much time would it cost (obviously i would prefer a night train)?

hey, if u want to go to goreme from Istanbul by train firstly you go to ankara by train. it will take about 10 hours. then you go to kayseri from ankara by train. it will take about 7 hours . lastly you have to take a bus from kayseri to goreme. you can take one every one hour or less. and it will take just about 1 hour. go by BUS-these are MUCH faster (1 long night instead of 2)a nd TR abounds with long-distance buses with competing prices that avoid all those changes.
or fly-if booked smartly domestic flights on local airlines cann also be very cheap
