Hey there.
I am going to travel trough Eastern Europe with my friends this summer but i have to end my journey in Barcelona to meet my family.
Is it really hard to travel from Slovenia to Spain in a short time ? Maybe with a stop in South France or something ?

The best direct connection would be (attention, the Milano - Barcelona night train only runs on Mo, We, Fr):
Ljubljana 0945 - 1053 Jesenice
Jesenice 1115 - 1309 Nova Gorica

Gorizia Centrale 1408 - 1434 Monfalcone

The night train is rather expensive but consider that you would otherwise have to spend some money on a hostel. However, I wouldnt recommend this connection as you only have 15 minutes to change trains in Milano and it would be quite annoying to miss that train due to some delay along the route. That's why you should consider leaving Ljubljana earlier in case you choose this route:

If you want to have only one overnight stop along the way you would have to continue at least to Nice in France. If you choose this, travel with the above connection to Milano, then continue like this:

Ventimiglia 2117 - 2205 Nice Ville
From Nice you can travel like this:
Nice Ville 0835 - 1114 Marseille
Marseille 1218 - 1411 Avignon Centre
