Hi everyone,

I'm going off Interrailing for the month of July and I'm currently trying to work out a budget.

Do you guys think that 85 euro a day is enough? That has to pay for hostel, food and extras (beer mainly). I'm going off by myself so camping is not really an option, I think it would be too boring. I to plan have some emergency money in another bank account should anything go wrong.

Cheers,
Sean_G

I think it's really enough! I plan for 30€ a day so you'll be large. But i will sleep into the train and at camping ||
Think it will depends if you go East,West or North ;)

85€ per day is really much!

A bed in a good hostel can be had for 20-30€ (max) in summer in western europe. Scandinavia (esp Norway) can be a tad more expensive. You can eat out starting at 10-15€ (in a restaurant, McDo and stuff like this can be had much cheaper).
Beer starts at ~3€ but I wouldnt pay more than say around 5€ for a pint... :D

Cheers guys or girls!

Good to know that I'm actually bringing more than enough. I prefer to have a little bit more money then less.

Also, I'm going off by myself so if anyone would be interested in meeting up let me know. I'm 24, male, Irish. I'm very easy going and willing to change my plans. I just want an adventure!

Hi

I'm 24, female and from Denmark. I'm planning a trip down through western Europe, starting 26'th June and a month ahead.

Copenhagen - Amsterdam - Normandy (haven't decided where yet) - Paris - Barcelona - Malaga - and whatever comes next. Rome is also on my list, but it's not finale.

If you're stopping by one of these destinations and want some company, contact me :D
