Am i correct in thinking that i can get supplements for sleepers starting or ending in germany online before leaving? Is it possible to get reservations on ICE trains also to ensure a seat?
With sleepers and some intercity trains across europe where reservations are compulsary is there any way to book from the UK before leaving?
Thanks

On the german website i found how to book supplement only for sleeper trains but i couldnt see a way to just get a reservation on an ICE.
one website seems to have a fairly good system for reservations but i think it is charging a large amount - 2 TGV reservations came to £11 and ICE ones are about £6 for 2 when i thought they were free. It states (not too clearly) that phone and shop bookings will charge £8 booking fee so thats a no go really.
If those prices i got are the going rate thent that is fine and i will use them but i just seem to remeber someone on here saying they were not that much

Usually you will find free seats on every ICE. It's not neccessary to get a reservation...but if you really want to you can get one at a station directly in Germany. They are 4,50€ and you can get them at a station or at [ux]https://rail.shop/bahn[/ux]
11 GBP seem fair for two TGV reservations (they cost 6€ each), 6 GBP for the ICE reservations are even cheaper than the 4,50€ for one each.
