Hi,
I'm planning on going interrailing this summer with my boyfriend - back end of june, beginning of july for 3 weeks and was planning on going AMSTERDAM -munich-SALZBURG-BUDAPEST-SLOVENIA-CROATIA-ITALY
I was just wondering if anyone's been to those places before, if there are any 'must visit' places and if there are any nearby places/places on the way I should definitely visit as well, any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Oh and if there are any hostels you'd recommend and all that kind of stuff, thanks again.

Hi!

- Amsterdam: Just walk around and enjoy the atmosphere
- München: Wombats hostel is nice and right at the main station
- Salzburg: Have a walk around the old town (Residenzplatz, Getreidegasse,...), then go up to the castle Feste Hohensalzburg and maybe have a walk on Mönchsberg with the modern museum
- Budapest: Walk up to the old town with palace and Matthiaskirche and enjoy the view over the city; maybe go swimming in one of the thermal spas (Gellert or Szechenyi), have a walk along the Danube in the evening
- Slovenia: Go to Ljubljana; if you have time visit lake bled and/or travel via Jesenice to Nova Gorica
- Croatia: Enjoy the beaches at the Adriatic coast; Rijeka and Split area are best connected by train; visit Plitvice national park :arr: https://rail.cc/en/plitvice-train-station/f5571
- Italy: Venice would be an obvious choice for a day or two; then Firenze or Roma? If you have enough time left, you could go to the south: Sicily or to Lecce; or stay at the Ligurian coast :)
